Guest for our show:
Date: Thursday, May 4th, 2023
Charles Rosenay
Our guest will be Charles Rosenay, who is best known among Beatles fans for his promotional efforts and productions over the past four decades. Since 1978, he has presented Beatles conventions and festivals. Along with musical events, he published a magazine on The Beatles called Good Day Sunshine for 20 years. Since 1983, he has organized and hosted the annual “Magical History Tour,” the original and greatest Beatles Fans Tours to Liverpool & London during Beatleweek.
For his book, The Book of Top 10 Beatles Lists, he has enlisted the help of many of his long-time friends in the entertainment field and The Beatles universe to contribute to this special new book. Featured contributors from the Beatles’ history include Bill Harry, Angie and Ruth McCartney, Clarence “Frogman” Henry (who toured with The Beatles), Wings’ guitarist Laurence Juber, Beatles hairdresser Leslie Cavendish, author Ivor Davis (who was with The Beatles when they met Elvis Presley), The Cyrkle’s Don Dannemann (opened for The Beatles and managed by Brian Epstein), Rod Davis and Len Garry of The Quarrymen, three members of Badfinger/The Iveys, and many others.
There are also lists from Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, including Greg Hawkes and Elliot Easton of The Cars, and Dennis Dunaway of the Alice Cooper band. The book features contributions from Beatles’ contemporaries, rock & roll artists from the 1960s, and other pop culture icons.
Charles will discuss his 40th Anniversary Magical History Tour Celebration, which he will be hosting in London and Liverpool during International Beatleweek. Additionally, he will talk about the upcoming Abbey Road On the River event.
