✅ This year marks the 75th anniversary of The Ed Sullivan Show, which first aired in 1948 and was hosted by New York entertainment columnist Ed Sullivan.
The show, which aired on CBS on Sunday nights until 1971, featured a diverse range of performers, including classical musicians, opera singers, recording artists, comedians, ballet dancers, dramatic actors, circus acts, and Broadway casts.
During the 1950s and 1960s, The Ed Sullivan Show also became a platform for rock music, with performances from legendary artists such as The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, and many more.Â
