Next Show: February 18th 2020

Regular showtime: 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM.

Topic for the show: Classic Rock of the 60s and 70s

Never a bad day to enjoy  rock music from the 60s and 70s and that’s exactly whay I have in store for you for my next show. With Classic rock, southern rock, the psychedelic rock, British Invasion, Soft Rock, and others.

I’ll be playing different artists and groups, and also I’ll be discussing on Creedence Clearwater Revival, as they were an American rock band active in the late 1960s and early 1970s which consisted of:

  • Lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty
  • His brother, rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty
  • Bassist Stu Cook and
  • Drummer Doug Clifford.

These members had played together since 1959, first as the Blue Velvets and later as the Golliwogs. Their musical style encompassed rootsrock, swamp rock, and blues rock.
They played in a Southern rock style, despite their San Francisco Bay Area origin, with lyrics about bayous, catfish, the Mississippi River and other popular elements of Southern United States iconography. Their songs rarely dealt with romantic love, concentrating instead on political and socially-conscious lyrics about topics such as the Vietnam War. The band performed at the 1969 WoodstockFestival in Upstate New York. The group disbanded  in late 1972 after four years of chart-topping success.

  • John Fogerty will be in concert at Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL on February 22nd
