My latest podcast, aired on Monday, December 23rd, 2024, brought the festive cheer with a special ‘Rock n Roll Christmas‘ theme.
We enjoyed a fun-filled session playing Christmas music from diverse artists, capturing the holiday spirit through the sounds of rock and roll and beyond.
Featured artists included Elvis Presley, the Beach Boys, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr from his album ‘I Wanna Be Santa,’ Nat King Cole, Josh Groban, Barry Manilow, and many others.
We also celebrated the 40th anniversary of Band-Aid’s ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ and enjoyed timeless pieces from Vince Guaraldi’s ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas.’
Additionally, the episode showcased Christmas music by artists like the Royal Guardsmen, Dan Fogelberg, Bing Crosby, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Bobby Helms, Darlene Love, and the Monkees.
We also highlighted holiday tunes from some of my talented friends: The Weeklings from their Christmas album, Fernando Perdomo with ‘Jangle Bells,’ Stephen Michael Schwartz who penned ‘Merry Christmas Wherever You Are’ for Barry Manilow, and Jack Maravell with ‘The Beatles Sounds Like Christmas’ and ‘Waiting for Christmas,’ a song he wrote in 1979.
This episode was a delightful way to dive into the holiday season, blending classic rock n’ roll with the festive joy of Christmas music. Tune in to relive the holiday spirit with these timeless tracks and heartfelt new renditions.
