Rock Music from the 60s and 70s

We had a great show on the topic of Rock Music from the 60s and 70s. Our 4 guests were amazing!

• Our discussion with John Billings mainly focused on the Monkees and Micky Dolenz upcoming performances including Beatles on the Beach
• With Kurt Reil, a drummer from the Grip Weeds, we discussed their influences on the 60s music
• Jeff Allan Ross talked about his performances for Badfinger, Peter Asher, Laurence Juber, Denny Laine, and more
• As for Guitarist Dave Zane, we covered his performances with different 60s band including the Buckinghams, the Outsiders, Jay and the Americans, etc. We also touched on his tribute on remembering Jimmy Sohns from Shadow of Knights.

John Billings is a bassist for Micky Dolenz of the Monkees and a former bassist for Rick Springfield, Donna Summer, and others.

2) Kurt Reil

Kurt Reil is a singer and drummer of the Grip Weeds, an American rock band from Highland Park, New Jersey.
Their music is often classified into the power pop, psychedelic rock, and garage rock categories.

Influences include The Beatles, The Who, Big Star, Buffalo Springfield, The Yardbirds, The Smithereens, The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, and others.

3) Jeff Alan Ross

Jeff Alan Ross is a music director for Peter Asher. He has also co-produces Peter’s extremely popular radio show “From Me To You” on Sirius XM’s Beatles channel. Jeff has also toured with Badfinger, John Jorgensen (Elton John, Desert Rose Band), Mick Taylor (Rolling Stones), 60’s teen idol Johnny Tillotson, Gerry Marsden (Gerry & The Pacemakers), Denny Laine (Moody Blues, Wings), Terry Sylvester (The Hollies), Billy J. Kramer, Laurence Juber, Kate Taylor, and guitar legend, Albert Lee.
