1) Jeff Slate

Jeff Slate is an award-winning singer-songwriter based in New York City. He has an impressive musical background, having co-founded the 1980s mod/punk band the Mindless Thinkers. In the mid-90s, he released “The Townshend Tapes,” a project on which The Who’s Pete Townshend acted as an executive producer. Jeff Slate also had the opportunity to open for Sheryl Crow on her “Tuesday Night Music Club” tour.

In 1997, he founded the band The Badge, which released three albums, numerous singles, EPs, live “bootleg” sets, and two “best of” compilations. The Badge became popular in the UK/European “mod” scene in the 2000s.

Jeff Slate has made significant contributions to music journalism and culture. Over the past decade, he has been a regular contributor to renowned publications like the Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, Esquire, Rolling Stone, and others, primarily writing about music and culture. He has also made appearances on television and radio, including Steve Jones’s Los Angeles drive-time show “Jonesy’s Jukebox” and SiriusXM’s Volume channel, where he serves as a guest host. Additionally, he has appeared on the BBC multiple times.

He co-authored the 2017 book “The Authorized Roy Orbison” with the late legend’s sons and has written liner notes for albums by artists such as Orbison, the Small Faces, Shawn Colvin, and for special editions like the 50th anniversary edition of The Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.” In 2018, Jeff Slate wrote a 10,000-word essay included in Bob Dylan’s “More Blood, More Tracks,” part of Dylan’s long-running Bootleg Series. In 2021, he contributed an 11,000-word book included in the Rolling Stones’ 40th-anniversary expanded edition of the classic album “Tattoo You.”

Jeff Slate’s musical talents have led him to the stage as well. In 2019, he appeared onstage at the first World Of Bob Dylan conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma, sponsored by the Bob Dylan Center, where he interviewed The Byrds’ Roger McGuinn and performed with the legend. He also performed at all-star concerts celebrating The Clash’s album “London Calling” in New York and Los Angeles.

In 2001, Paul formed The Fab Five, a Beatles/British Invasion act, along with four other local all-star musicians who shared his passion for the band that changed the world on CBS-TV’s Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964.

Daniel J. Perez-Cuan is a Cuban-American composer of contemporary liturgical music. His current works are being performed in Catholic Churches throughout the United States, Latin America, Europe, and the Philippines. He is a member in good standing of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM), Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI), and the American Choral Directors Association. He conducts various Choirs in South Florida. He is a motivational speaker and provides inspirational music for retreats including the ManUp conferences series and Emmaus Retreats.

He attended the City University of New York and studied under the direction of various professors including Catherine Livolsi and Harry Horowitz.

Mr. Perez’s works encompass a variety of musical styles; however, his work has been described as rich in texture, with flowing memorable melodies and able to touch the hearts of the listener.

Mr. Perez is currently working on the recording of a multitude of his works, including orchestral compositions for release in 2023. His Psalm collection will be available in late August 2024 His Contemporary Communion Series, a collaboration with various composers was released in 2016 and was one of the top sellers of the 2016-2017 season.

He has worked alongside many exceptional musicians including trumpet master Ray Feliciano, Grammy Winning producer and arranger Paul Hoyle, and 4 time Latin Grammy-nominated producer and composer Alejandro Sanchez-Samper.

Andy Forgie, a singer and songwriter, began a lifelong friendship and musical journey with Mark Rashotte back in 1968 when they were in the 7th grade in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. Like millions of others, they were inspired by The Beatles, and they turned professional in the early 1970s. They signed with Capitol/Parlophone Records and recorded with their band, “Photograph,” which toured from coast to coast and charted in Canada’s top 10.

Their love for The Beatles and all things groovy led them to form “All You Need Is Love” in 1999. They soon became staples at various Abbey Road on the River festivals in Cleveland, Ohio; Louisville, Kentucky; Washington D.C.; and Jeffersonville, Indiana, performing for over two decades since 2002.
