Bill Chadwick, played a crucial role in the Monkees’ success during the 1960s. He was a songwriter, TV show extra, studio musician, and confidant of the group throughout their entire run.
Chadwick’s songwriting talent was evident in many Monkees hits, including “If I Knew,” “French Song,” “Time and Time Again,” “You and I,” “If You Have the Time,” “How Can I Tell You,” and “Zor and Zam”. His contributions extended beyond songwriting, as he also lent his vocal and instrumental talents to many of the Monkees’ tracks.
Following his musical work with the Monkees, Chadwick continued to play an important role behind the scenes. 2) Fred Velez
Fred Velez, is a devoted Monkees fan and accomplished author who has written extensively about the group. He is the author of two books on Monkees fandom, including “A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You: The Monkees From A Fan’s Perspective” (2014) and “A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You 2: The Monkees From International Fan Perspectives” (2020).
Velez’s passion for the Monkees shines through in his writing, as he provides a unique perspective on the group’s enduring legacy and influence. His books offer a detailed exploration of Monkees fandom, as well as interviews and insights from fans all around the world.
