In 1978, Arlen Schumer served as the Art Director of Thunder Road, which was the first magazine dedicated to the life and music of Bruce Springsteen. He also created artwork for two of Springsteen’s concerts.

3) Jim Summaria
Jim Summaria, hailing from Chicago, embarked on his photography career in 1973 at the age of 19.
From 1973 to 1978, he served as the staff photographer for Chicago rock concert promoter Flip Side Productions, granting him backstage and photo pass privileges to all the concerts they produced. He continued to capture live performances in the 2000s.
Jim’s lens has focused on iconic figures like Paul McCartney/Wings, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, The Band, Bad Company, Rick Derringer, and many others.
In addition to his photography, Jim is the author of “Classic Rock Photographs from Yesterday and Today.”
Furthermore, he co-hosts a radio show, “That Classic Rock Show,” alongside Mark Plotnick on Huntley Community Radio, WRHU 101.5 FM.
