Once a year we take a moment to pause and reflect on the anniversary of 1962, a year that marked the history of the world.

- The ongoing Cold War which saw the rise of the Cuban Missile Crisis and a near fatal conflict between the US and the Soviets
- The Space Race on the Mercury Program and John Glenn orbit around the Earth
- Civil Rights personality, James Meredith who became the first African-American to enroll at the University of Mississippi
- Rachel Carson who published Silent Spring and in turn gave rise to the modern environmentalist movement
- Andy Warhol who introduced Pop Art on his artwork of Campbell’s Soup Cans
- Wal-Mart opened
- Wilt Chamberlain who scored 100 points in a single National Basketball Association basketball game
- Jackie Kennedy who tool television viewers on a tour of the White House

- Tony Bennett and how he left his heart in San Francisco
